Importantly, to investigate the so called immunometabolism, several approaches and techniques can now be used that include spectral and mass cytometry, multiparametric cell sorting and single cell RNA sequencing, among others. In my talk, taking advantage from the aforementioned technologies, I will: i) present and discuss data related to main features of the maturation and differentiation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells in patients infected by SARS-CoV-2, using two different physiological status, i.e., pregnancy vs. aging; ii) present a detailed characterization of SARS-CoV-2 antigen-specific response after vaccination in patients affected by Multiple Sclerosis treated with different therapies for this disease; iii) put in evidence the particularities of the single cell metabolomic profile of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes in patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer.
